The importance of saying "Alhamdulillah" (All praise is due to ALLAH )

1. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "If one says 'Alhamdulillah' (All praise is due to Allah) for some hardship that happened to him, Allah will remove it for him, and if he says it for a blessing that came to him, Allah will bless him in it." [Ahmad]


2. Abdullah ibn Mas'ud reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "No people gather to remember Allah, not even one of them, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those with Him." [Muslim]


3. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the scales, and are dear to the Merciful: 'SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil-Azim' (Glory and praise be to Allah, the Almighty)." [Bukhari and Muslim]


4. Abdullah ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "There are four words that are such a treasure that whoever is given them has been given everything good: 'SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil-Azim.'" [Muslim]


5. Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Whoever says 'Alhamdulillah' (All praise is due to Allah) thirty times in the morning and thirty times in the evening, he has thanked Allah for that day." [Tirmidhi]


6. Abu Musa reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "The believer is not stung twice from the same hole." [Bukhari]


7. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "A supplication made between the Adhan and Iqamah is not rejected." [Abu Dawud]

10. Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "There is no envy but in two cases: a person whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it in the right way, and a person whom Allah has given wisdom, and he gives his decisions accordingly and teaches it to the others." [Bukhari]


11. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Any matter of importance which is not begun with 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah), remains defective." [Tirmidhi]

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "Allah likes sneezing and dislikes yawning, so when one of you sneezes and praises Allah, then it is a duty on every Muslim who heard him, to say: 'Yarhamuk Allah' (May Allah have mercy on you). But as for yawning, it is from Satan, so if one of you yawns, he should try to restrain it as much as possible, for when one of you yawns, Satan laughs at him." [Bukhari and Muslim]


13. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "When one of you sneezes, he should say: 'Alhamdulillah' (All praise is due to Allah), and his brother or companion should say to him: 'Yarhamuk Allah' (May Allah have mercy on you). When he says this, let him say: 'Yahdeekumullah wa yuslihu baalakum' (May Allah guide you and rectify your condition)." [Bukhari and Muslim]


14. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Allah does not accept the prayer of an individual when he is engaged in preventing the people from their rights." [Bukhari]


15. Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "There are two blessings which many people waste: health and free time." [Bukhari]


16. Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "There are two blessings which many people do not make the most of and thus lose out: good health and free time." [Bukhari]


17. Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "No one among you should say: 'O Allah, forgive me if You will; O Allah, have mercy on me if You will.' Let him be decisive in his request, for Allah does what He wills and no one can force Him." [Bukhari and Muslim]



18. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "When a servant says, 'Alhamdulillah' (All praise is due to Allah) upon eating and drinking, Allah says, 'You have thanked Me and you have shown gratitude to the one who provided for you.'" [Abu Dawud]


19. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "Allah is pleased with His servant when he eats food and praises Him for it, and when he drinks a drink and praises Him for it." [Muslim]


20. Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "When one of you sneezes, let him say, 'Alhamdulillah' (All praise is due to Allah),' and let his brother or companion say to him, 'Yarhamuk Allah' (May Allah have mercy on you).' If he says this, then let him reply with, 'Yahdeekumullah wa yuslihu baalakum' (May Allah guide you and rectify your condition)." [Bukhari and Muslim]


21. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "When Allah loves a servant, He says to Gabriel, 'Love him.' So Gabriel loves him and then Gabriel calls out to the people of the heavens, 'Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.' So the people of the heavens love him, and then he is accepted among the people of the earth." [Bukhari and Muslim]


22. Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Seven are shaded by Allah in the shade of His throne on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade: a just ruler, a young person who grew up in the worship of Allah, a person whose heart is attached to the mosques, two people who love each other for the sake of Allah, meeting and parting for that reason, a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position but he says, 'I fear Allah,' a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives, and a person who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes well up." [Bukhari and Muslim]


23. Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said, "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?" He said, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth and returns with neither of them." [Bukhari]
